Prior to pursuing decorating, Chloe graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Honours Psychology from Wilfred Laurier University. Immediately following her graduation, she attended the Interior Decorating program at Conestoga College, completing her studies with High Distinction in 2023. Her educational background is fairly unique for a Decorator, greatly influencing her design approach. The psychological impact a successful design has on clients is where her passion for decorating began.

Chloe had always been creative from a young age, typically spending her time crafting, dancing, and rearranging her bedroom for the millionth time; her creative juices were always flowing. She entered the field of interiors after a newfound love for DIY and budget-friendly design solutions. As a student, she knew firsthand how frustrating it is to dream up a beautiful interior but not have the means to make it come to life - she wanted to change that. She started her journey by posting video tutorials and budget-friendly content on her Instagram page, previously known as "The B Word Decor". She was blown away at the impact she had made within the Instagram community and decided to pursue design in full swing. Starting with room flips and styling for her family and friends, her audience grew and so did her intentions within the industry. In 2023, McCormick Interiors was born.

 

Chloe takes pride in her role of guiding the selection process to ensure the finishes curated for your home are finalized on time and are reflective of the overall aesthetic her clients strive for. As an Interior Decorator, she is always searching for ways to implement a client's personality in every selection. This is achieved through her commitment to creating unique, yet sophisticated concepts that remain functional and timeless. She describes her personal style as a blend between Modern Organic, Mid Century Modern, and Contemporary with a mix of vintage charm. Chloe drools over interiors with original architectural features such as arches and moldings and gravitates towards layered lighting, mixed metals, and tactile textures. The charm of thrifted items offers a soulful experience that inspires her.

 

 Outside of the office, Chloe enjoys brunch with friends, a weekend of thrifting, and sitting by a campfire in the evenings. She is a major foodie, always willing to try new flavours and dishes. She is happy to spend weeknights at home with her boyfriend and dog, binge-watching their favourite comedy series. If an event involves food and interiors - you will likely find her close by!
